Although the topic is rarely discussed in polite New Haven circles, it is generally acknowledged that the "Whiffenpoof Song" was actually written by (pass the smelling salts, Reginald) a Harvard man, identified on the Whiff website as “one Guy H. Scull, Harvard class of 1898.”
