Dear Friends & Supporters,

The 2020-2021 academic calendar will be an unprecedented year for The Harvard Krokodiloes in our 75-year history. As we navigate through the global coronavirus pandemic with the rest of the world, we foresee many deviations from the usual rhythm of a normal Krok year. In particular, we have made the difficult decision to not hold auditions this fall and cancel all fall term performances on campus. Furthermore, we have decided to postpone our 75th anniversary celebration, originally scheduled for April 2021. The rest of our yearly activities including our tours are expected to be significantly affected as well, and we will be communicating the decisions as they are made in due time.
In light of the Harvard College plans to hold fully virtual classes for the fall semester, the Kroks are planning for an entirely off-campus semester from our individual locations. We recognize the unique situation that these plans place upon Harvard undergraduates who are interested in a cappella singing, especially the first-year students eager to join the Krok community. We are already organizing various ways to stay engaged with these students both musically and socially throughout the year while closely adhering to the scientific guidelines put forth by university and public health authorities.
No matter the circumstance, the Kroks remain as committed to our musical endeavors as ever before. While our in-person performances will be put on hold, we will nonetheless continue to actively contribute to the artistic ecosystems which we find ourselves in. In particular, we are set to launch a year-long artistic endeavor of songs and memories that will generate a complementary suite of creative products in various digital formats, through which we hope to connect with our friends and supporters near and far. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us at info@kroks.com with any questions you may have regarding our plans for the upcoming school year.
The Kroks believe that music can empower and unify during times of isolation and divide. The global health crisis and the various events in the United States and the world have distanced us physically and emotionally, but we hope that our creative offerings can help bridge these gaps. To that end, the Kroks are excited and honored to bring joy and warmth of our music into your lives this year once again, as we have for the past 75 years.
Nunc Est Cantandum.
